Attendance at Reception to Celebrate National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

September 25, 2017: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the pleasure and honor of attending a reception to celebrate the 87th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted by H.E. Ambassador Mr. Ahmad Younos S. Al Barrak at the Palace Hotel in Tokyo.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat took the opportunity to extend his deepest gratitude, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic Afghanistan, to the Kingdom and H.M., through H.E. Ambassador Mr. Al Barrak, to wish sincerest congratulations on this most auspicious day. As Saudi Arabia has lent generous and significant cooperation to Afghanistan in the peace process and serves as a beacon for the Islamic world holding custodianship of the Two Holy Mosques, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat further conveyed his wish that the Kingdom would enjoy renewed and ongoing peace and prosperity, his wishes for the welfare of the people of the Kingdom, and his desire that the two nations would continue grow closer well into the future.
In return, H.E. Mr. Al Barrak thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his words and attendance at their National Day celebration. Additionally he expressed his hopes in support for unity amongst Muslims, to assure peace and prosperity in the world, emphasizing that the Islamic nations and peoples should and can play a vital role in contributing to peace and prosperity in the greater world as well.

At the reception, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat also had the opportunity to meet and converse with H.E. Mr. Yasutoshi Nishimura, Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary in the Office of H.E. the Prime Minister, several of Their Excellencies Ambassadors, many high ranking Japanese officials, and members of diplomatic missions stationed in Tokyo with whom he extended his greetings and discussed areas of mutual interest such as the recent speeches by leaders of allied nations planning for active steps to achieving further peace and security in Afghanistan.
