February 17th, 2016: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad
Amin Fatimie had the pleasure of meeting with staffs of NPO Medecins
Sans Frontieres (MSF) Japon, Mr. Jérémie Bodin (General Director), Dr.
Clara Van Gulik (Humanitarian Affairs Representative) and Ms. Yoshino
Horikoshi (Institutional Partnership Officer) at the embassy. Mr.
Abdulzaman Akbari, third secretary, also attended the meeting. H.E.
Ambassador Dr. Fatimie welcomed them warmly, and expressed on behalf of
people and the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, his
heartfelt appreciation to MSF members worldwide, particularly in
Afghanistan, for their tireless and selfless efforts of life-saving
activities since the restoration of democracy in the country. As H.E.
Dr. Fatimie was previously a Public Health Minister, their intense
medical missions at institutions such as Ahmad Shah Baba hospital in
Kabul, Trauma centre in Kunduz, Khost maternity hospital and Boost
hospital in Helmand were acknowledged.
They have discussed issues of mutual interest and preparation for the
further cooperation, which both sides indicated that they would be
looking forward to working on the partnership.
