January 28, 2016: It was a pleasure for His Excellency
Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie to attend Nonoyama Fund
Evaluation Meeting for the Training Program and its Closing Ceremony
held at Ochanomizu University. Through the program, two Afghan trainees,
Ms. Tahera Nabi and Ms. Tahmina Amani, have studied at Ochanomizu
University, and gave their presentation. For the successful
presentations and earning of the graduation certificate, H.E. Ambassador
Dr. Fatimie warmly congratulated them and encouraged them for further
development as well as their successful career in the future.
H.E. Dr. Fatimie also had a pleasure of meeting Ms. Kimiko Murofushi,
the president of the university, along with Ms. Nabi and Ms. Amani. As
this women's university has received some Afghan female students over
the years, H.E. Ambassador expressed his gratitude, on behalf of current
students, graduates, people and the Government of the Islamic Republic
of Afghanistan, for the school's continuous and precious support to the
young generation of Afghansitan and women's empowerment dually. Ms.
Murofushi in response expressed her appreciation to the Ambassador and
the embassy for the assistance, and that she and the school are grateful
to have welcomed Afghan students, who also inspire existing Japanese
students of the international cooperation.
