Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie had the honor of attending the New Year’s Reception of Minato City’s, the district of Tokyo where the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is located.
The event featured greetings from Hon. Mayor Masaaki Takei (pictured above) and Chairperson Nobuhiro Izutsu. The gentlemen spoke of the highlights of 2013, including winning the rights to host the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, and goals for the future.
Ambassador Dr. Fatimie was able to interact with many distinguished guests, including Hon. Representative Banri Kaeda (pictured second from the bottom); Hon. Representative Dr. Tsuneo Che Akaeda (pictured bottom); from Minato City’s Assembly, Hon. Mr. Daisuke Akasaka, Hon. Mr. Koichi Kanno, Hon. Ms. Kiwako Hiwatashi, Hon. Ms. Yuki Nakamae, Hon. Ms. Ai Seike, and Hon. Mr. Takumi Udo; several of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of missions to Japan, and other key guests.
