26/06/2012 Ambassador Fatimie meets with H.E. Ambassador Yamamoto

June 26, 2012:
Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie was warmly received by H.E. Ambassador Tadamichi Yamamoto, Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, at his office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in Tokyo.

Ambassador Fatimie first took this opportunity to once again express deepest appreciation, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for Japan’s selfless and life-improving efforts towards Afghan peace and development. Recognizing H.E. Ambassador Yamamoto as a relentless champion within Japan’s multi-sector cooperation, Ambassador Fatimie spoke of the great confidence in the success of Japanese initiatives that Afghanistan has knowing that this key individual is involved.

While a number of key issues were discussed, the Ambassadors paid considerable attention to discussing preparations for the upcoming Tokyo Conference on Afghanistan. Japan once again through this conference is proving its unquestionable friendship to Afghans as it will rally some 80 nations and international organizations in support of the Afghan people in the years to come.
