June 14, 2012: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie received a warm welcome from Hon. Representative Toshihiro Nikai at His office in Tokyo. Graciously accompanying the Ambassador was Deputy Director-General Tsukasa Uemura of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Second Middle East Division.
Ambassador Fatimie firstly expressed deepest gratitude, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for Japan’s selfless and effect-generating cooperation in peace and development. Speaking on the importance within this of the Japan-Afghanistan Parliamentary Friendship League, where Hon. Representative Nikai has been a key member, Ambassador Fatimie requested the Hon. Representative’s help in furthering the reach of this League. Ambassador Fatimie presented a letter of appreciation to this effect.
