June 5, 2019: It was an honor for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend the reception in honor of Eid Al-Fitr and the welcoming ceremony of the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Japan, at the Peninsula Hotel Tokyo.

H.E. Ambassador Mr. Nayef Mrzouq Alfahadi, expressed his warm welcome to H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat and thanked him for his attendance. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat sincerely congratulated H.E. Ambassador Mr. Alfahadi on assuming the post as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Japan and wished him the greatest of success in his endeavors throughout his mission. Moreover, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, he expressed wholehearted thanks and gratitude to the people and Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the brotherly support and assistance over the years as Afghanistan has endeavored for prosperity and peace in an Afghan-owned and Afghan-led process. In return H.E. Mr. Alfahadi thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his kind words and expressed his wishes for the two nations and their two embassies to develop even stronger ties of friendship, assuring him that Saudi Arabia would continue to stand by Afghanistan well into the future.

While at the event, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with others of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors, diplomats with missions in Japan, government officials, and other distinguished guests all present to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr and the New Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Japan.
