21/07/2016 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Gives a Guest Lecturer at NUFS
His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie had a pleasure of visiting Nagoya University of Foreign Studies, as a special guest lecturer. Prior to the lecture, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie met with Professor Ikuo Kameyama, president of NUFS. H.E. Dr. Fatimie was warmly welcomed by Prof. Kameyama, and thanked him, the school, as one of the educational institution for their investment and effort in such a precious field, to the capacity building. Japan has been providing largely through Japan International Cooperation Agency assistances to Afghan students and officials scholarship, which have been greatly effective for the country’s reconstruction effort, H.E. Dr. Fatimie added. It was further a pleasure of H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie to meet and discussed the issues of mutual interest with Prof. Toshinori Tamai, vice president and dean; and Prof. Tomoyasu Kimura, head of English Language Education, both from School of Contemporary International Studies.
The lecture was attended by many enthusiastic students, of some who already had lists of questions to ask to H.E. Dr. Fatimie. H.E. Ambassador Fatimie spoken on long friendship and shared customs between Afghanistan and Japan, titled “History and Culture of Afghanistan”. Citing the achievements Afghanistan has made in last 15 years, H.E. Dr. Fatimie introduced many aspects of Afghanistan, and relation with Japan. After the lecture, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie was delighted to hear from the attended students that His Excellency’s lecture was very informative, and changed their image of Afghanistan positively.
