June 30, 2018: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the pleasure of attending the Reception on the occasion celebrating the Independence Day for the United States of America hosted by the Tokyo American Club and lunch at the Tokyo American Club, Japan.
On behalf of the people and Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, it was a pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat to be the only Ambassador with a mission in Japan to join the celebration of the United States of America's Independence Day hosted by the Tokyo American Club. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat expressed his sincerest congratulations on this most auspicious occasion to Mr. Michael Alfant, Representative Governor of the Tokyo American Club and Group Chairman & CEO of Fusion Systems. In return, Mr. Alfant thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his attendance and kind words. Furthermore, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat extended his gratitude for the support and assistance of the people and Government of the United States of America over the years during the rebuilding process and actualization of peace.
Additionally, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat had the honor of meeting and speaking with Mr. Joseph M. Young, Deputy Chief of Mission for the Embassy of the United States of America in Japan; Hon. Mr. Masaaki Takei, Mayor of Minato City; and Mr. Ichiro Fujisaki, President of the Japan-American Society and former Ambassador of Japan to the United States of America; both of whom were also present in honor of the occasion.
