October 29, 2019: It was an honor for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend the reception on the occasion of the 96th Proclamation of the Republic of Turkey at the Turkish Embassy in Tokyo.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat took the opportunity to extend his deepest gratitude, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic Afghanistan, to the Republic of Turkey, through H.E. Dr. Hasan Murat Mercan, to wish sincerest congratulations on this most auspicious day. He further conveyed his wish that Turkey would enjoy renewed peace and prosperity, his wishes for the welfare of the Turkish people, and his desire that the two nations continue to work amicably well into the future. In return, H.E. Mr. Mercan thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his words and attendance at their National Day celebration and expressed his best wishes for the people and Government of Afghanistan as well, and his hope for their two nations to strengthen their ties of friendship.

While at the event, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat also had the pleasure of meeting with several of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors, many high ranking Japanese officials, and members of diplomatic missions stationed in Japan all of whom were present for the auspicious occasion.

August 29, 2019: It was an honor for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to partake in and support the celebrations held at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey for the Turkish Victory Day.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat expressed his congratulations to the Turkish people and Government in honor of this most auspicious occasion, on behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan through H.E. Dr. Hasan Murat Mercan, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Japan. In return, H.E. Dr. Mercan thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his kind words and support, while expressing his sincere hope to make more profound the very strong ties between their two countries. In response, H.E. DR. Mohabbat thanked H.E. Mr. Mercan for his kind words and spoke to the historically close and brotherly relationship between the two great nations while assuring him that he would also work to deepen and strengthen their close relations. While enjoying the event, H.E. Dr. Mohabat also had the pleasure of meeting with several of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors and members of diplomatic missions stationed in Tokyo, high ranking members of Parliament, and important Turkish representatives present in honor of the occasion.

May 16, 2019: It was a pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend the Iftar Dinner in the Ambassador’s residence at Embassy of the Republic of Turkey during the most Holy Month of Ramadan. Also guests of H.E. the Ambassador of Turkey for the Iftar dinner in attendance for the evening were others of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of Islamic nations with missions in Japan.

H.E. Dr. Hasan Murat Mercan, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, warmly welcomed H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat and expressed his gratitude for his attending the event. In return, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat thanked H.E. Dr. Mercan, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for the long and benevolent support of the people and Government of Turkey over the years. Further he remarked that the kind and truly meaningful cooperation they have given has helped progress Afghanistan’s development and furthering of peace in an Afghan-owned and Afghan-led process. H.E. Dr. Mercan reciprocated his assurance that as a brother country Turkey will continue to support Afghanistan as it strives for peace. Along with the wonderful meal, a strong sense of brotherhood was felt through the interactions between all nations’ representatives present and their bright futures actively moving toward peace were discussed.

2019年05月16日: バシール・モハバット大使は光栄なことに、神聖月であるラマダンの最中、トルコ大使館で催されたイフタールに出席されました。また、イスラムの共和国らの大使らもイフタール（ラマダン日没後、初めてとる食事のこと）のゲストとして出席されました。

トルコ共和国の大使であるハサン・ムラット・メルジャン大使は温かくモハバット大使を迎え、感謝を述べました。モハバット大使はお返しにアフガニスタン・イスラム共和国を代表して、トルコ共和国の長年に渡る慈悲深い支援に感謝を示しました。さらに彼は心から彼らの親切で思慮深い協力が、アフガニスタンの発展に貢献し、アフガニスタンのさらなる平和に貢献していることをお伝えしました。メルジャン大使は姉妹国であるトルコが平和を求めるアフガニスタンへの支援を続ける保証を返礼として示しました。素晴らしい食事と共に、各国の出席された代表者は力強いつながりを実感し、平和に向かいつつある未来について議論を重ねました。

January 10, 2019: It was a pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend the farewell dinner in honor of H.E. Mr. Gursel Qudrat oglu Ismayilzada, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Japan, hosted by H.E. Dr. Hasan Murat Mercan, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, at the Embassy of Turkey in Tokyo.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat thanked the host of the event, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Hasan Murat Mercan of Turkey for the invitation to this auspicious occasion to bid farewell to their friend and colleague, as well as for the long friendship and support the people and Government of Turkey has shown to Afghanistan. In return, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mercan thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his attendance, his kind words, and assured him that Turkey would continue to help Afghanistan secure peace in an Afghan-own and Afghan-led process.

On behalf of the people and Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat greeted the guest of honor, H.E. Mr. Gursel Qudrat oglu Ismayilzada, Ambassador of Azerbaijan, congratulated him on the completion of his successful mission and wished him the best of luck in his future endeavors. Further, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat expressed his sincerest thanks to the people and Government of Azerbaijan for their benevolent assistance to Afghanistan over the years on its road to securing peace. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat extended even further thanks and gratitude for the recently opened Lapis Lazuli Trade Route which passes through Azerbaijan and wished for successful and mutual benefit from this endeavor. In return, H.E. Mr. Ismayilzada thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his attendance and kind words, and wished for the continuation of profound relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Afghanistan. Additionally, he stated that Azerbaijan would continue to support and cooperate with Afghanistan as it progresses and leads itself towards peace. While at the event, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat also had the honor of meeting and speaking with others of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors all present in honor of the occasion.

Ambassador Mr. Dražen Hrastić and Madam Hrastić, in honor of the new appointment of the Ambassador of Republic of Turkey, H.E. Dr. Hasan Murat Mercan, at the Ambassador’s Residence of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Tokyo.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat extended his thanks to H.E. Ambassador Mr. Hrastić for the invitation to the elegant and well appointed dinner, as well as thanked him on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for the support of the people and Government of Croatia over the past years of reconstruction. He further expressed his hopes to strengthen and deepen the relations between their respective countries. In return, H.E. Mr. Hrastić expressed his appreciation to H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for the kind words and attendance at the dinner and agreed to further strengthen and make more profound the relations between Afghanistan and Croatia.

H.E. Dr. Mohabbat also congratulated H.E. Dr. Mercan on the recent ascension to his position as Ambassador, wishing his all the best successes during his mission, to which H.E. Dr. Mercan thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his kind words. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat thanked him on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for the support of the people and Government of the brotherly country of the Republic of Turkey. In return, H.E. Dr. Mercan thanked him for his kind words and assured him Turkey would countinue to stand with Afghanistan.
