Opening Ceremony of the Science Centre World Summit 2017 at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation

November 15, 2017: Mr. Abdulzaman Akbari, Third Secretary and Human Resource Development, had the honor and pleasure of attending the opening ceremony of the Science Centre World Summit 2017 at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation.
The Summit’s venue, a place where representatives from science centers around the world, educators, policy makers, and industry and citizen communities met to discuss the ever-changing roles of science centers, marks the first time the Summit has been hosted in an Asian country. The opening ceremony was held in the presence of His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince, and many guests from various science centers, embassies, conference participants, and different sectors. During the opening ceremony, Dr. Mohri, Chair of the International Programme Committee, gave a speech in which he welcomed and thanked all participants and guests for coming, as well as expressed his hopeful expectations for the event. Following Dr. Mohri’s speech, His Imperial Highness Crown Prince also gave a speech in which he expressed his hope that those participants in the Summit would strive towards a more cooperative and better society in the future. Finally, Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, President of the Royal Scientific Society of Jordan, concluded the opening speeches. In the following keynote session, Astronaut Jan Davis and Dr. Mohri discussed the importance of international cooperation in the fields of science and technology.
Mr. Akbari, aside from attending speeches and lectures, had the opportunity to discuss topics of mutual interest with various distinguished guests at the event.
