May 07, 2015: Recent years have witnessed the ever increasing
strength and cooperation between senior levels of Japan's Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and Afghanistan. A lunch attended by the Special Envoy
for Afghanistan and Pakistan Director-General of Middle Eastern and
African Affairs Bureau The Honorable Mr. Tsukasa Uemura, Deputy
Director-General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau The
Honorable Yasushi Misawa, Head of Afghan/Pakistan section The Honorable
Mr. Isami Takada, and Second Middle East Division Officer Ms. Shino
Tsuji at the Embassy's Residence highlighted the growing bonds of
cooperation between the two countries.
His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Fatimie, on behalf of the people and
Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, on multiple
occasions, extended his most sincere gratitude to MoFA Japan and to the
people and Government of Japan for their ongoing direct impact
generating support for the people of Afghanistan. H.E. Ambassador Dr.
Fatimie, Ambassadress Fatimie and all diplomats were thanked for their
warm and generous hospitality and were communicated to that Japan would
continue to support Afghanistan.
