Meeting With Ms. G. N. Hasintha of the Embassy of Sri Lanka
October 25, 2016: Mr. Hamdard met with Ms. G. N. Hasintha, Second Secretary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka/
At the meeting, Mr. Hamdard emphasized the healthy state of relations between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka despite the uncertainty of the 19th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) summit which was scheduled to take place on November 15-16 in Pakistan. It was also mutually agreed that while SAARC is an invaluable tool of communication between its 8 member states, active dialogue between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka will continue as will their commitment to remain loyal friends.
