Attendance at the Celebration Party for the 77th Anniversary of the Foundation of Tokai University Educational System

November 1, 2019: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the pleasure of attending the celebration party for the 77th Anniversary of the Foundation of Tokai University Educational System at the Tokai University Shonan Campus. Also in attendance was Mr. Nasrullah Rozbeh, Second Secretary for the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan.

At the event, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat took the time to meet and speak with several of the distinguished guests all gathered in the honor of the occasion. While speaking with the hosts of the event, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat congratulated the leadership of Tokai University on another year of success and fruitful outcomes. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat further conveyed his gratitude to Tokai University for having been a close friend with Afghanistan by becoming a second home to many Afghan students studying in Japan whom they have admitted into their excellent educational programs. Both sides expressed their wishes that this friendship would last far into the future and that the continuous admittance of Afghan scholar students into Tokai University would form a pathway for cultural collaboration and mutual development between the two nations. Following the ceremony, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat and Mr. Rozbeh were able to meet with the Afghan students studying at Tokai University whom he congratulated on their recent representation of the country in Tokai University's recent 13th International Fair .

Dr. Mohabbat congratulated the leadership of Tokai University on another year of success and fruitful outcomes. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat further conveyed his gratitude to Tokai University for having been a close friend with Afghanistan and a second home to many Afghan students studying in Japan. March 24, 2016: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie had a pleasure in attending the graduation ceremony of Tokai University. As it has been one of the major hosting educational institutions for the Afghan exchange students, on behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed his deep gratitude to the Government of Japan, Japan International Cooperation Agency and the University, for their continued quality investment in the young generation of Afghanistan. H.E. Dr. Fatimie thanked the president of the university, Mr. Kiyoshi Yamada, for their leadership in accepting and providing Afghan students a great opportunity not just for them to learn, but also for all the students there to deepen inter-cultural understandings, which can help to build a solid base for a peaceful world in the future.

February 01, 2016: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie had a great pleasure of welcoming the embassy visit by Mr. Jason Pratt, former Public Relations Officer of the embassy, and the students from his classes at Tokai University and Tamagawa Gakuen University. Currently a lecturer, Mr. Pratt took his colleague, Mr. Hiroyuki Fujimaki of Tokai University, and his students to the embassy visit as a part of their study tour.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie warmly welcomed all visitors and expressed his gratitude of their interests in studying Afghanistan with such an effective former PR Officer, Mr. Pratt, and wished kindly to each one of them a success in their future, as well as for a closer, friendly relationship between Afghan and Japanese young generation like themselves.

Followed by the embassy tour, Mr. M. Yasir Karimi (second secretary) sat with the visitors to experience a part of Afghan culture, and answer students' questions regarding Afghanistan to deepen their understanding and familiarity.

20/05/2015 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Attends 60th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations Between Saudi Arabia and Japan Reception

May 20, 2015: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Fatimie and First Secretary and Consul Mrs. Farima Orya Afzali had the honor of attending the reception celebrating 60 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and Saudi Arabia at the Arabic Islamic Institute in Tokyo. The Director of the institute, Dr. Nasser Alomaim, expressed his appreciation to H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie for his attendance and communicated his best wishes for Afghanistan. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie communicated, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, his deep gratitude for Saudi Arabia's assistance to Afghanistan.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie also had the pleasure of meeting with the Chancellor of Tokai University Professor Kiyoshi Yamada who was sincerely thanked for Tokai's educational program for Afghan students. Professor Yamada was very hopeful for the bright future of the participating Afghan students.

April 14, 2015: Meeting with nineteen hard working and responsible Afghan students of various fields at Tokai University was a proud moment for His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Fatimie who congratulated them on the Solar New Year as well as for their academic achievements. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie and Third Secretary Mr. Sayed Ali Asghar Amiri spent an hour speaking and listening to their Afghan brothers about their concerns and joys regarding their life in Japan, which has overall been a highly satisfying experience thus far. Also discussed were ways and means of how to improve student's contact with the Embassy. The assiduous Mr. Malakyar spoke on behalf of the students and thanked H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie and Mr. Amiri for coming to visit and speaking and listening to them.

Tokai University boasts ten faculties, including Medicine and Agriculture, and is playing an important role in the training and development of Afghanistan's future professionals. By visiting these nineteen diligent students, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie recognizes their importance for the future of their communities, and the Afghan nation as a whole, and encourages each of his brothers to make the very most of the privileged opportunity they have been given. The Embassy will do its best to support them during their time away from home in Japan.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie also had the honor of meeting with Chief of Department Mr. Yoshikawa and thanked him for his generous support for the Afghan students.

April 02, 2015: The youth of Afghanistan represent the country's hope for a brighter future and the people and Government of Japan have contributed enormously to the fruition of such a hope, particularly through the acceptance of Afghan university students on scholarships. Representing the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Fatimie attended the Welcoming Ceremony of new students, including eleven Afghans, at Tokai University.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed his deep gratitude to President of Tokai University Professor Kiyoshi Yamada and stressed the national importance of continuing to accept and possibly increasing the number of Afghan students in order for Afghanistan to achieve its successful transformation from dependence to self-reliant development. Department Chair and Deputy Executive Director Professor Yoshio Yamamoto, Chancellor and Executive Director Professor Haida Munetaka, Assistant Chancellor and Executive Director Professor Naoto Yoshikawa, and Chancellor Professor Kiyoshi Yamada, along with the Afghan students met with H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie who cordially addressed them and provided small gifts of appreciation and encouragement.
