January 08, 2016: It was a pleasure of His Excellency Ambassador
Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie and Mr. Ghafoori, First secretary, to
attend Minato City New Year’s Reception. The reception was organized by
Minato City, where the embassy locates, to celebrate the beginning of
the new year. It was attended by distinguished guests from the city,
whom H.E. Ambassador had a pleasure of receiving such a hospitality and
exchanged words with, Mr. Masaaki Takei, Mayor of Minato City; Mr.
Masahiko Ukai, Chairperson of the Minato City Assembly; Mr. Akira Oyaizu
and Mr. Hideshi Tanaka, Deputy Mayors; Ms. Masako Kondo, Vice
Chairperson of the Assembly; Ms. Hiroko Abe and Ms. Yuko Hyodo, Members
of the Assembly; Mr. Masatoshi Yasuda, Director General of Minato City
Hall; Mr. Makio Koike, Superintendent of Minato City Board Education;
Mr. Yoshiya Mikami, Chief Director of Minato International Association;
Mr. Yoshihisa Watanabe, Chairman of Minato Travel & Tourism
Association; Mr. Isao Haga, Senior Fund Manager of Urban Renaissance
Fund Management Company Limited; Mr. Gunji Shimizu, President of Minato
City Music Federation; Mr. Shinichi Ishii, Auditor of Zainas Co., Ltd.
From diplomatic missions, H.E. Dr. Fatimie and Mr. Ghafoori had a
pleasure of conversing with Ms. Angela Maria Chavez Bietti,
Ambassador-designate of Guatemala; and Mr. Snofrid B. Emterud,
Counsellor of Norwegian embassy, among other attending guests.
Due to such an amicable and close relationship built between the
embassy and Minato City, under the leadership of H.E. Ambassador Dr.
Fatimie, the City Hall had kindly nominated H.E. Dr. Fatimie as an
honorable representing guest to participate a Japanese celebration
ceremony in the traditional style. Overall, the reception was held very
successfully to mark as the celebration of this year’s beginning, and
have strengthened even further the good neighborhood for the embassy and
Minato City, as well as with the attending guests and organizations.
