Ambassador Fatimie accompanies H.E. Minister Pashtun’s meeting with Madame Ogata and Vice-President Kuroyanagi of JICA


January 31, 2014: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie and Mr. Sayed Ali Asghar Amiri of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo accompanied H.E. Minister Engineer Yousef Pashtun, Advisor to the President, in a meeting at JICA headquarters with Madame Sadako Ogata, Special Advisor to the President of JICA, Vice-President Toshiyuki Kuroyanagi; and additional JICA officials.
H.E. Minister Pashtun and the Ambassador firstly expressed, on behalf of the people and Government, deepest gratitude for the life-bettering and result-oriented cooperation that Japan has extended to Afghanistan. The personal role of Madame Sadako Ogata, as well as the great work of JICA’s officials, were also lauded. The discussions during the meeting centered around the development of New Kabul City. Current realities and potential for furthering progress were talked about. H.E. Minister Pashtun stated that continuing Japanese cooperation would be sincerely welcomed.
