14/01/2014 Ambassador Fatimie welcomes Director Okubo of MoFA Japan’s Afghanistan Assistance Planning Division

Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie welcomed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Director Okubo and Mr. Ogino of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan’s Afghanistan Assistance Planning Division. Mr. Mohammad Yasir Karimi, Second Secretary; and Mr. Jason Pratt, Public Affairs Officer, were also present.

During this important and friendly meeting, Director Okubo kindly mentioned that Japan values its partnership with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and is committed to seeing that this partnership continue forward. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie in turn welcomed the honorable guests. The Ambassador expressed heartfelt gratitude, on behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for the life-bettering and impact-generating assistance that Japan has thus far extended. Furthermore, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed pleasure at the reconfirmation that 2014 would be a year of further strengthening the already warm relations between the two nations. The gentlemen then spoke on a number of other issues of mutual interest.
