Attendance at the National Day Reception of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh

March 28, 2017:His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie had a pleasure in attending the Reception of the 46th Anniversary of Independence and National Day of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh at the Okura Hotel.

In honor of the occasion, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie congratulated the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, on behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, to H.E. Ms.Rabab FATIMA, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Japan. In return, H.E. Ms. FATIMA thanked H.E. Dr. Fatimie for his kind words and attendance. H.E. Dr. Fatimie also had an opportunity to meet and converse with H.E. Ichiro Tsukada, Member of the House of Councilors.

Meeting With Mr. Jobayed Hosen of the Embassy of Bangladesh

October 19, 2016: Mr. Hamdard met with Mr. Jobayed Hosen, Second Secretary at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. It was an excellent opportunities for the two parties to discuss issues related to the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), which both Afghanistan and Bangladesh are members of.

The 19th SAARC summit was initially scheduled to be held on November 15-16, but has been indefinitely postponed due to tensions following a surge in regional terrorism, something that both Mr. Hamdard and Mr. Hosen also discussed during their meeting.
