June 22, 2019: It was an honor for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend a private dinner reception hosted by H.E. Ms. Prativa Rana, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal to Japan, at the Ambassador’s Residence in Tokyo. Also in Attendance were H.E. Mr. Thurain Thant Zin, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Japan; H.E. Mr. Sanjay Kumar Verma, Ambassador of India to Japan; and H.E. Ambassador Mr. Kiminori Iwama, Chiefo of Protocol for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat thanked H.E. Ambassador Ms. Rana for the invitation to the lovely dinner reception and further thanked her on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for the kind support and friendly relations over the years by the people and Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal over the years. In return, H.E. Ms. Rana thanked H.E Dr. Mohabbat for his attendance as well as for his kind words, assuring him that the people and Government of Nepal would continue to stand by the people and Government of Afghanistan well in the future and as it continues it Afghan-owned and Afghan-led peace process. While at the event, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat had the pleasure of meeting once again and spending many conversations with the other H.E The Ambassadors who were invited to the friendly dinner reception gathering.

September 20, 2017: His Excellency Dr. Basir Mohabbat, Ambassador to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan, had the pleasure of attending the reception for the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal National Day at Hotel Okura, Tokyo.

H.E. Dr. Mohabbat thanked Her Excellency Ms. Prativa Rana, Ambassador for the Embassy of Nepal in Japan, for the invitation to a wonderful event, expressed his heartfelt congratulations on their National Day and conveyed his hopes for continued good relations between Afghanistan and Nepal. In return, H.E. Ms. Rana thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his kind words and congratulations.

Also, in attendance were several of Their Excellencies, Heads of Missions, and Diplomats with missions in Japan, members of parliament, and other dignified guests, several of whom H.E. Dr. Mohabbat met with and discussed many topics of mutual interest.
