H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat attends Farewell Reception at the Delegation of the EU to Japan

August 15, 2018: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the great honor and pleasure to attend the Farewell Reception of His Excellency Mr. Viorel Isticioaia-Budura, Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union to Japan.

At the reception, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat, on behalf of the people and the Government of Afghanistan, expressed his thanks to the European Union for the enormous assistance and help in rebuilding Afghanistan. Ambassador Mohabbat showed his appreciation for being invited by H.E. Ambassador Mr. Isticioaia-Budura to his farewell reception and, with a heavy heart, wished him goodbye. Dr. Mohabbat also complimented Mr. Isticioaia-Budura for his work and wished him a healthy and prosperous life and success in all his future endeavors. Likewise, H.E. Ambassador Mr. Isticioaia-Budura thanked for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat’s hard work, attendance, and his generous words by also wishing him prosperity and health in life. He also boded that he will continue and try to strengthen the EU – Afghanistan ties.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat also had the great honor and pleasure to meet with other EU officials from the Delegation of the European Union, and Japanese government officials as well as Ambassadors with missions to Japan.

Meeting with Mr. Wiktor Staniecki of the Delegation of the EU

November 09, 2016: Mr. Hamdard met with Mr. Wiktor Staniecki, First Secretary of the Delegation of the European Union to Japan.

Mr. Hamdard expressed his appreciation for having the chance to meet with Mr. Staniecki for the first time, and said that he very much looked forward to having the pleasure to work with Mr. Staniecki and the Delegation in the future. Mr. Hamdard made sure to also extend his thanks to all ambassadors and diplomats active in Tokyo for their relationship with Afghanistan and continuing support. Both parties furthermore agreed that by working closely together, peace and stability can successfully be fostered and maintained in the region.

Like other powerful civil society organs, the European Union is playing a pivotal role in Afghanistan’s process to attain long-term peace and development, and the EU’s support is thus invaluable to the Islamic Republic and its people.
