August 17, 2018: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the honor and pleasure to receive His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Morteza Rahmani Movahed of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tokyo for a Courtesy Call at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Tokyo.

H.E. Ambassador. Dr. Mohabbat extended his sincerest words of appreciation to H.E. Ambassador Rahmani Movahed for visiting the Embassy of Afghanistan, and he congratulated him for his appointment as the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tokyo. He also expressed his gratitude toward the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran for their assistance in rebuilding Afghanistan. On the importance of the occasion, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat wished H.E. Ambassador Rahmani Movahed luck and success in all his future diplomatic endeavors while in return, H.E. Ambassador Rahmani Movahed thanked H.E. Ambassador. Dr. Mohabbat for welcoming him to the Embassy of Afghanistan and for expressing his cordial words. He also extended his sincerest aspiration to continue maintaining the warm and prosperous ties between their respected nations and their honorable Embassies. With the courtesy of both of Their Excellencies, they mutually expressed the importance of strengthening and deepening the meaningful relations between Afghanistan and Iran and seek to maintain the honoring of their liaisons.

February 9, 2018: His Excellency, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Japan, Dr. Bashir Mohabbat attended the reception on the occasion of the 39th Anniversary of the Victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran at the Iran Ambassador’s Residence.

His Excellency Acting Head Mashaalah Shakeri, of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Japan, gave opening remarks and following after, His Excellency Mr. Manabu Horii Parliamentary Vice-Minister for MOFA Japan, gave his remarks. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat congratulated H.E. Acting Head Mr. Shakeri for the auspicious occasion and event. He furthered expressed his gratitude to the people and Government of their neighboring country of the Islamic Republic of Iran for their support of Afghanistan in its rebuilding process over the years. In return, H.E. Mr. Shakeri expressed his sincerest hope for the long and historic relations between their two respective countries, as well as between their two embassies, to develop even warmer and deeper ties throughout his tenure.

H.E. Dr. Mohabbat extended his best wishes on this day to H.E. Acting Head Mashaalah Shakeri He further expressed his hopes to strengthen and deepen the relations between their respective countries. In return, H.E. Dr. Mashaalah Shakeri expressed his appreciation for the kind words and attendance. Also in attendance were several of Their Excellencies, Heads of Missions, and Diplomats with missions in Japan, members of parliament, and other dignified guests, several of whom H.E. Dr. Mohabbat met with and discussed many topics of mutual interest.

Farewell Luncheon for His Excellency Dr. Reza Nazarahari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Japan

November 16, 2017: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the honor and pleasure of attending a farewell luncheon for His Excellency Dr. Reza Nazarahari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Japan, at the Iranian Ambassador’s Residence in Tokyo.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat congratulated H.E. Ambassador Dr. Nazarahari on his successful tenure as Ambassador to Japan. Furthermore, he wished H.E. Dr. Nazarahari on success in his future endeavors, as well as expressed his condolences and offered his prayers on behalf of the recent earthquake which struck the border area between Iran and Iraq causing much devastation, injury, loss of innocent lives. H.E. Dr. Nazarahari thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his kind words and for attending the luncheon.

H.E. Dr. Mohabbat also had the opportunity to discuss topics of mutual interest with various Ambassadors, diplomats, and other distinguished guests who attended the event.
