Dinner at the Embassy for Hon. Mr. Yamaguchi of Komeito.
December 8, 2017: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the great pleasure of hosting a dinner for the Hon. Mr. Natsuo Yamaguchi, Chief Representative of the Komei Party and Madam Yamaguchi at the Ambassador’s Residence within the Embassy in Tokyo.
In the main foyer, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat and Madam warmly welcomed the distinguished guests, Hon. Mr. Yamaguchi and Madam Yamaguchi, who are not only long time friends of theirs but also long time friends of the Embassy and Afghanistan. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat expressed, on behalf of people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, deep appreciation to the Japanese government for its continuing support of Afghanistan’s reconstruction process which is paving the way for increased greater livelihood, peace and prosperity for the Afghan people. Additionally, he expressed his humble happiness at hosting a true friend of Afghanistan at the Embassy once again.
In return, Hon. Mr. Yamaguchi expressed his sincere gratitude for the invitation to H.E. Ambassador Mohabbat, and said that they had been very much looking forward to the occasion. All present discussed many topics of mutual interest such as the long history of Afghan-Japanese Relations in a very amicable atmosphere.
