Attendance at Japan Education Forum for SDGs with Dr. Mohabbat
February 21, 2017: Mr. Asif Agah, Second Secretary for the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan, along with Minister-Counsellor Dr. Bashir Mohabbat, attended the Japan Education Forum for SDGs Secretariat held at the Assembly Hall of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Tokyo hosted by MEXT, MOFA Japan, and the Center for the Study of International Cooperation in Education.
This year’s theme was “Education 2030: Possible Ways of its Interpretations-For Action” to find ways to go beyond international development aid, mobilize new actors and transcend new modalities to achieve SDGs in light of decreasing ODA. Key guests speaking at the event were H.E. Mr. Naoya Higuchi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of MEXT and H.E. Mr. Kiyoshi Odawara, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of MOFA Japan.
