21/09/2012 Ambassador Fatimie, Dr. Mohabbat attend Democratic Party of Japan Presidential Election

September 21, 2012:
Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie and Dr. Bashir Mohabbat, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo, attended the Democratic Party of Japan’s (DPJ’s) presidential election.

Ambassador Fatimie, along with all of Afghanistan as a young democracy, holds great respect for Japan’s democratic process. As Afghanistan’s party system develops, the Ambassador pays keen attention to Japan’s admirable process that allows for all people’s views to be represented through the balance of representatives from different parties as determined by the voters.

Ambassador Fatimie looks forward to offering at an opportune moment, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, sincerest congratulations to H.E. Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda on his re-election, and gratitude to H.E. and the entire DPJ for its continuing dedication to seeing peace and development spread ever further in Afghanistan.
