Dr. Mohabbat receives guests from Ochanomizu University

August 1, 2017: His Excellency Dr. Bashir Mohabbat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and Mr. Asif Agah, Second Secretary and Cultural Affairs Officer, had the honour and pleasure of receiving Professor Yasuko Sasaki, Ms. Haruko Hirose, and Mr. Kenta Aoki, at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Tokyo. Prof. Sasaki is currently serving as the Vice President of International Affairs at Ochanomizu University, at which Ms. Hirose is a trustee and Mr. Aoki is a project lecturer in the Global Collaboration Center. In addition, Ms. Hirose served from 2006 to 2010 as Japan’s Ambassador to Morocco. 
During the meeting, H. E. Dr. Mohabbat and Mr. Agah expressed their sincere gratitude to the nation of Japan and the Japanese people and government for their incredible contributions to Afghanistan over the past years, especially in the field of education. In particular, H. E. Dr. Mohabbat and the distinguished guests discussed the future of women’s education, and other means by which it can be developed in order to promote progress and growth for Afghanistan and all its citizens. H. E. Dr. Mohabbat and the distinguished guests discussed the importance of female education as well as the strong bond between Afghanistan and Japan.

H.E. Dr. Mohabbat took time to express his special thanks to Ochanomizu University for their support of education in Afghanistan, in particular their continued acceptance of Afghan students. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat affirmed that education is the foundation of every nation, and therefore the contributions of Ochanomizu University have directly contributed to the re-building of Afghanistan. The distinguished guests of Ochanomizu University expressed their continued desire to facilitate Afghan education, particularly the education of females. This commitment continues to foster the progress and advancement of Afghanistan’s society and well-being. Following the meeting, the distinguished guests and H.E. Dr. Mohabbat expressed their sincerest gratitude and optimism for the future of our two great nations.

30/07/2015 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Attends Morocco’s National Day Reception to Celebrate the 16th Anniversary of the Enthronement of H.M. King Mohammed VI

H.E Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the great pleasure to attend the reception held at the Hotel Okura organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco, to celebrate the 16th anniversary of the enthronement of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie sincerely congratulated H.E. Dr. Samir Arrour, Ambassador of Kingdom of Morocco in Japan, and wished him and H.M. King Mohammed VI continuous health, happiness and prosperity. In return, H.E. Dr. Samir Arrour also wished happiness and prosperity to H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie and Afghanistan.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie also had the chance to converse with several distinguished guests: H.E. Mr. Yasuhide Nakayama, State Minister for Foreign Affairs; Mr. Tsukasa Uemura, Special Representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan and Director-General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau at MOFA; Yoshitaka Akimoto, Grand Master of the Ceremonies at the Imperial Household; Mr. Nobuyoshi Takabe, Former Ambassador of Japan to the Democratic Republic of Congo; and a long-time friend of the Embassy, Dr. Kazuyuki Hamada, Former Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs.
